A comprehensive training course covering how to use the Garmin handheld device for simple navigating and advanced route planning, waypoint management.

 

Main Screen and Map topics:

• Understanding the Main screen
• Understanding the Main Map screen and data panel
• Understand how to customise the main and map screens
• Understand how to change to different map sources and view the map information

 

Waypoint, Tracks, Routes and Navigating topics:

• Understand how to Mark a waypoint
• Understand how to manage tracks, clear and start a new track, view data and statistics and favourite/archive tracks
• Understand the various ways to create a route using the Route Planner
• Understand how to use Where To to navigate to an address, POI, waypoint, saved route or photo

 

The self paced training course are broken up into small modules to work through at your own pace.

 

The training content is a combination of content slides, screenshots as well as embedded videos with voice instruction (for most videos) to demonstrate how the device features and functions work. The videos can be re-watched as much as you like.

 

The content structure is designed to give a general overview of each program and then build on that knowledge by introducing and each feature and function of the program and device.

 

You will have either 3 or 6 months access to the self paced training course for you to review and practice as much as you like during that period.
